Victory!
There will always be things I want to tweak and improve, but I’m glad to say I have achieved all the things I hoped in this room. Old curtain hooks need to come down, a touch up of paint where I bumped the wall with polyurethane, but the major things are done.
I de-shellacked every piece of woodwork in the room (replacing trim); Dyed, finished, and installed the original hardwood as well as the new shelf and wainscoting; Painted; De-shellacked, leveled and finished the floor; Replaced the light fixture; installed new glass shelves and lights into the china cabinet.
